This weekly challenge is hosted by Mind over Memory
I came across these tree sculptures in the grounds of Kinnitty Castle, County Offaly (Ireland). The castle is now a hotel and the sculptor is none other than one of the chefs! Hungarian Sandor Nagy developed his carving skills in Asia before coming to Ireland.
If you’d also like to take part:-
- Share a photo of a sculpture
- Link to the Mind over Memory post for Saturday Sculpture
wonderful!
Thank you!
How whimsical!
Aren’t they just!
This is kinda scary.
😱
So neat and a bit weird in a wonderful way 🙂
😂
How cool! I’ve never seen anything like these!
Good aren’t they! I like the setting – just quietly standing there among the trees…
How neat! I came across something similar in Ontario last weekend at a conservation area I was hiking through. There were a number of wooden sculptures scattered around the trail, however it looked like they were brought in rather than created from trees already on the spot.
Actually I’ve just thought of a big tree carving on the other side of the city – must get a photo if I ever get out of this lockdown!
These are so lovely.
They are aren’t they… and are in a lovely setting in the middle of the country.
Hello.
I do love this! It is awesome; it is great art! In my country we have many art parks and I think that this one would fit well in one of them. 🙂
Have a nice day!
I love art parks. I’v absolutely no talent myself but I’m always in awe of what others can create. Thanks for dropping by. XXXM
