Each week, Dr. B from Buddha Walks into a Wine Bar selects a single theme to point our cameras at or to encourage us to display a few photos from our collections. I certainly don’t present myself as a photographer but I’m happy to root through my photos and select the most passable!!!

So here’s my STILL LIFE selection – in homage to my own ‘STILL LIFE’!

Hey Ho! I could write your life-story from your collection of bottles and glasses if I didn’t realise they were just this, a collection! Brilliant, and I like the way you’ve arranged them. Who cleared up after though. I had to dispose of my collection of ephemera when I downsized from my Victorian house to a flat, keeping only one from Pat O’Brien’s because we had one of the best ever holidays as we went for a wedding and were able to really explore in the company of a New Orleans resident.
Ephemera – that’s a lovely word – never heard it before so thank you for that!!
One of my early covid projects when I thought lockdown would last for 3 weeks!! I took everything down because they were falling and a total mess. Of course everything went back up just as bad….
My Pat O Brien’s glass is from 1989…. It must be a great city to visit with a local…..

Do you collect anything when you’re away Sarah? Apart from this lot I always try to get something for my Christmas tree and then the odd magnet or t-shirt. If I’m lucky, I might find a nice painting or piece of pottery… must admit though that I look a bowl sometimes and wonder where it came from!!!
I love your creative take on this weeks photo challenge; this proves that you don’t need a studio or a fancy location to make a start with still life photography. You can begin by simply walking into your kitchen or any other room! Thanks for sharing and have a good weekend. Aiva 🙂 xxx

Well, I know I won’t be thirsty at your place! These bottles, glasses, cups, etc will be worth a fortune someday! Maybe even now, I don’t know about such things but collectors do! Well done! Cady
I tell my ‘one and only’ regularly that ‘ some day this will all be yours!!! 😅 😂. I’ll barely be in the grave before he takes the lot of them to the dump!!!
Marie we have the same children! I have all girls and I don’t doubt it one bit that most of my stuff will be at Goodwill!
