I also noticed the four layers/ depths to the photo. It is really lovely.
And the where the second last (or third) distant layer outline ends against the second level/layer, it aligns perfectly with the line running through the second layer which seems to show a difference in the vegetation. It almost gives the illusion that the third layer flows over the second layer, and that your eyes are playing tricks.
Anyone reading this comment will definitely look at the photo again with fresh eyes!! Thank you for your description and analysis. Its a place and scene I know very well but I’ll be viewing it with a greater appreciation now. XXXMarie
