CMMC – FEBRUARY COLOUR – (TEAL / TURQUOISE)

This is the blue city of Chefchaouen in Northern Morocco. A wander through the back streets and alleys unveils every shade imaginable –

including turquoise….

And I must pay homage to my absolute favourite shawl EVER……

Boston / Oman / Donegal / Agadir / Milan / Copenhagen / Costa Rica…….

SO well travelled – until I lost it on a night out – here in Dublin!!

  1. What a stunning place and your photographs make me want to go there NOW! I can imagine how you feel about your shawl. I’ve got one l take everywhere with me and when it goes I shall be at a loss. The only trouble is it keeps appearing in all my photographs and it looks as though I have no other clothes – it even does duty as a sarong.

    1. That’s the problem with the blog… suddenly the same clothes you’ve been wearing away for years won’t do any more!!!😅 😂 🤣

    1. Yes – you’re right Kristie – I all love those blues and whites….Speaking of Santorini – I was there in 1982!!! Time to revisit!!

  2. So many beautiful travel photos, Marie, especially from the blue city 🙂 we never managed to make it to Chefchaouen, it must be a sight to behold! I am sorry to hear you lost your favourite shawl. I have a favourite shawl too – one that goes with everything and I tend to reach for it day after day! Have a nice day 🙂 xxx

    1. We’ve been to Morocco 4 times – the last time – 2018(I Think!) – we concentrated on the north of the country – flew in to Rabat and out of Tangier. So Chefchaouen was more accessible. I left the shawl on the DART Aiva – I KNOW someone is walking around Dublin with it😅 😂 🤣

    1. It really is Lissy. It’s a bit touristy but still lovely away from the main square, once you get into the back alleys and lanes…

  3. I’ve read that the color blue on roofs can be considered a way to ward off evil spirits. Why else would these buildings all top off in blue?

    1. It really is – but as I said above – a few days is enough – there’s too much to see in Morocco to loiter here for too long!
