This is the blue city of Chefchaouen in Northern Morocco. A wander through the back streets and alleys unveils every shade imaginable –
including turquoise….
And I must pay homage to my absolute favourite shawl EVER……

SO well travelled – until I lost it on a night out – here in Dublin!!

What a stunning place and your photographs make me want to go there NOW! I can imagine how you feel about your shawl. I’ve got one l take everywhere with me and when it goes I shall be at a loss. The only trouble is it keeps appearing in all my photographs and it looks as though I have no other clothes – it even does duty as a sarong.
That’s the problem with the blog… suddenly the same clothes you’ve been wearing away for years won’t do any more!!!😅 😂 🤣

We’ve been to Morocco 4 times – the last time – 2018(I Think!) – we concentrated on the north of the country – flew in to Rabat and out of Tangier. So Chefchaouen was more accessible. I left the shawl on the DART Aiva – I KNOW someone is walking around Dublin with it😅 😂 🤣

We loved it – despite getting bad weather – typical us to get rain in Morocco!!!
I’ve read that the color blue on roofs can be considered a way to ward off evil spirits. Why else would these buildings all top off in blue?
I did read that they were painted blue in order to attract tourists but I much prefer the evil spirit theory!!!
