Exciting isn’t it!!!!!
Well ……. Here’s the story…
I’ve been watching BBC’s Sort Your Life Out. I’m not really a hoarder but I love hoarding programmes and the like. Anyway, the car boot (trunk) was a mess and was finally emptied yesterday, Feb 28th. I was spreading out the clutter of reusable shopping bags (Stacey Solomon style!) when Tom arrived home and added his stash to the pile…. Between us????? 43 bags!!! Seriously!! For just 2 adults!!! What DO we eat!!😅 😂
So the neat little pile above is what was returned to my car and the same for Tom. 8 each – don’t ask me why we still need 16 shopping bags!!!

And yet sometimes I end up with no bags when I need them!

Most of them have been very well used to be fair – I certainly got my money’s worth.
I have around half a doz bags that compact down small. They are a little more expensive to buy, but fit into my purse and fit my needs. They last well … been using some now since 2017.
I have some of those also – for non grocery shopping mainly although the stores here don’t charge for paper bags. I always stick a few in my luggage – great for beach et.
Oh what a perfect Last Photo.A nothing photo on the surface but when you examine, as you did, the plight of humanity stacked in a pile of conformity. Oh why indeed a multitude of bags?

I am guilty of this, too. I love reusable bags but have too many of them. The only hitch in all of this is that reusable bags are a bit of a nuisance, organizationally speaking. They aren’t rigid, so they won’t sit or stand where you tell them to, and while they can be hung on hooks, it seems a shame to waste a whole hook (and a whole lot of wall space besides) on some silly flat bags. That’s why I’d so many in the car – it’s the handiest place for storage but I hadn’t realised how they’d taken over most of the space!
We have so many of those bags too, they’re impossible to part with haha. I do love those types of shows, they’re very motivating. Jon’s mom was a professional organizer so she has taught him well. they have the cleanest house in America!
I’ve never met a professional organizer!! I bet your own place is full of wonderful storage ideas!!!
Definitely, I love to organize and now we have extra space so I have more room to work with and make look pretty 🤩
Of course, extra space is not always a good thing!😅 😂

We’ve just a shed which we cleaned out last year so that’s ok but I remember with horror the garage at home when growing up!!
I have to broach things carefully with my husband! Cant just throw away old pieces of hose or string, who knows when they will come in useful

Yes, it’s shocking how much we hoard. I found when I had to move house that I umteem bottles of kitchen/floor/bathroom cleaner stuff. I clearly intended to do more cleaning than I actually ever did!
Now that’s a pleasure I’ve never had!!! We’re in this house since 1983!!! I do clear a fair bit but I’m also guilty of putting off decisions and ‘temporarily’ putting stuff in the attic…. Now that would have been a wonderful, worthwhile Covid occupation!! Never even thought of it!!!
I’m constantly forgetting to take my bags out of the car. They no longer give or sell plastic bags so I end up buying another reusable bag. I hate to think how many bags we have.
Well – guess who went to the shop this morning without a bag… and yep!!! I bought another one!! What can I say!!😖😅 😂
