Thanks to pals Aiva from OURCROSSINGS and Allan from PhotoBlography3 for the nomination.
The Travel Challenge involves posting one favourite travel picture for each day – That’s 10 days, 10 travel pictures, 10 nominations, and 0 explanations!
I do have favourite photos but I’ve probably used them , at least once if not more, in previous blogs so they might look a bit familiar!! Despite the chaos of our times, there’s still a bit of a build up to Christmas so I hope I make it to day 10 without distraction!!!
Today I nominate Alison from Travels with Ali for the challenge. Please link to me if you decide to participate. If you are not interested or do not have time to participate, don’t worry about it.

Trying to guess where it might be and it’s driving me to distraction. Somewhere in Spain?
Nope ….. But it is Europe…..
So monochromatic after the last two. The houses just fade into the mountain side. Will be interesting to learn where it is.
Turkey is my guess..?.. but then I don’t see Turkey in your menu😉
Marie, I have just nominated you for this challenge, not realizing you’ve been already😊
All the best!
Christie
Not Turkey – all will be revealed!
Thanks for the nomination Christie – much appreciated.

Can it be somewhere in Italy; it’s just a wild guess, because I have no clue! And I didn’t recognize Trim castle from Allans photo, imagine 🙈🙈🙈 take care my friend ⛄🎄❄️
Yes – Italy… You’re almost there.
I wasn’t 100% sure re Allan’s photo but the 1995 movie clue helped! Before your time Aiva but it was a big deal here at the time… XXXMarie
Its Matera – Southern Italy – Almost in Puglia but not quite. An amazing place. European City of Culture 2019.
Looks so dry!! All that stone.
There are lots of cave dwellings here – fascinating place…
I would never have guessed that this is in Italy. I love how the buildings just blend into the landscape and what looks like the side of the cliff. Looks beautiful.
There was so much poverty here that it was evacuated in the 1950’s. Now its an up and coming travel destination – I hope it doesn’t get ruined…
Amazing photo. Wouldn’t want to wander too close to that wall after a bottle of vino.
Ha!! I’m sure it has happened many’s the time!!! XXXMarie
