With many of us grounded indefinitely, we are turning more and more to various challenges to keep us active and connected. These challenges offer an opportunity to have a good look back through banks of photos – its amazing what you find when there is a definite purpose to the search!
This monthly challenge comes from Jude at Travel Words. To take part, just post your colour photos and link to Life in Colour
You certainly defined ‘brown’!
Ha!!!! You should have a look at it… its just once per month…..
What a lovely collection of beautiful photos, Maria! I see that you had a chance to visit one of my favourite book stores – Livraria Lello ☺️ thanks for sharing and have a lovely evening 🧡 Aiva
Isn’t a great store – although it took forever to get inside! XXXMarie
Great selection! Especially the food…those sausages look delicious.
Don’t they just!!! I’m very fussy about sausages – I can only eat skinny ones and they have to be practically burnt!!😅 😂 🤣
Yes..Yes…Yes.. beautiful collection!
Thank you! I’d a lovely time going through photos!! XXXMarie
What a great idea and an easy challenge as it’s only once a month. The problem is how much space photos take up on the blog but it’s food for thought as I love colour!
Love you photos – such an eclectic mix of textures in those browns. Well done
It is a lovely challenge Bernie – and so easy. Some people have put up just one photo so anything goes…. Thanks for your nice words… XXXMarie
What an inspiring selection!
I actually had to stop myself in the end…. I doubt I’ll have such a choice every month….XXXMarie
That croissant is calling my name!
I was drawn to a lot of foodie photos…. think its a January thing!!!!
Such a great selection of brown, Marie. Brown is easy to do, especially in January.. and maybe with few patches of white😉 Have a lovely week ahead🙂
Brown was very easy – a good colour to start with….. XXXMarie
Beautiful photos~
Thank you – its a nice challenge. XXXMarie
Your lovely gallery shows what a rich colour brown is!
Ex
Thank you Emma – apparently brown is the public’s least favourite colour according to several surveys!
Well more evidence that I remain in the minority… I like brown!
Me too! Important not to follow the pack!!!
🙂
I tried to leave a comment, but I think I may have gone into spam – can you check?
I had a look Jude but can’t see anything – its disappeared into the ether! I’m happy to give you the benefit of the doubt however and assume you weren’t trying to kick me off your challenge 😅 😂 🤣. Looking forward to the coming months… looks like you’re getting a great response…. XXXMarie
How strange! I love your different genres of browns, the food ones are brilliant, but my favourite shot is that first one. So interesting. I look forward to seeing what you have next month. 😊
See you in Feb. XXXMarie
Your lead photo is amazing. Love the lines, Marie.
Thank you – I must own to luck rather than skill Pat – I’m not a photographer (although I’m 2 weeks into a 6 week course!!)
I have never taken a photography course although I have read lots of books and taken tens of thousands of photographs. It seems to me that you have the eye of an artist that you use in taking your photos. Maybe we can learn from each other. 🙂
Thank you for your lovely words of encouragement. I actually signed up just because I’ve had the camera for a couple of years and it has been set at ‘P’ since the day I got it! I’ve had zero curiosity about its workings. Reckoned it was time to find out what all the other bits did!!!!😅 😂
Great post and images. You hit all my favorites.
Thank you Anne – I’m looking forward to the next challenge now…..
