A PHOTO CHALLENGE OF PLACES WE SIT…OR MIGHT SIT…OR ART ABOUT SITTING
From tiny Sorrento Park in Dalkey, South County Dublin – overlooking Dalkey Island and Killiney Bay (Ireland’s Bay of Naples!!!)

I love Dalkey village and the panoramic views over the bay from Killiney Hill, it’s an amazing place to escape the hustle and bustle of Dublin city. Have you ever taken a boat to Dalkey Island?
Would you believe I never have!!! For a long time the service across was dodgy at best – supposedly no insurance etc. I see lots of picnikers in summertime now – Definitely on the list for 2022!! Have you been there?
Wonderful view! And the seat is very inviting 🙂
Lovely isn’t it….. and really only known to locals….
Nor only a great seat (and brilliant colour) but a fabulous view.
Of course not every day is as good as this one!!! It’s looking its best here….
Beautiful views!
A lot of celebs live around there – the only ones who can afford it!!
Wow! I’d love to see it myself. Of course, one advantage you have over the real Bay of Naples is that you don’t have a volcano threatening to blow you to kingdom come.
Ha!! True!!! Bono and his celeb pals wouldn’t be too happy to have their mansions covered in volcanic ash or swept away in a lava flow!!! The worse they have to contend with is wind and rain coming in from the Irish Sea!!
I like the zig-zag shape. Such gorgeous scenery to sit and enjoy.
The zig-zag is much more interesting than a straight bench isn’t it…..
It gives you the chance to look in different directions.
Yes. Very much so.
Great concept and beautiful pictures. Link to my blog. The latest picture has a bench with a view. Thank you. https://alongtheway2.home.blog/
That looks like a lovely place to sit…..
Yes, along the Charles River in Boston:))
