  1. Oh yes, I love it too! I do like visiting beaches used by local people rather than those soulless tourist enclaves, and especially if the locals so obviously enjoy the beach 🙂

  2. We once spent a few days in a place called Bakkhali on India’s Bengal coast, where hundreds of locals do the same thing, with colourful plastic chairs. It was so odd at first – but we soon got into the swing, even though Bakkhali remains probably our most out-of-comfort stay anywhere, so far.

    1. My dad used to sing a song ‘Those far away places, with strange sounding names, are calling, calling me’ This would be one of those places!

    1. We watched for a while but couldn’t work out who owned them and didn’t see any payment changing hands. There were just these 6 beanbags … nothing similar elsewhere on the beach..
