I promise I’m not going to drip feed individual images from Ayia Napa forever but this was another piece I loved –

I’m a bit confused about the plaque – presumably haven’t done enough research!!

According to the sculptor Andrea Kattos, he parallels the Goddess of Hospitality Astarte, who welcomes her visitors, with Ayia Napa, which hosts thousands of visitors annually. I can’t find any reference to Asarte being a Goddess of Hospitality (but then, who am I to argue!!)

Ooh, I love this!
Me too!! It was one of my favourite pieces there – It would fit in well in any location I think – even indoors.
It must be recent, I cannot remember seeing this monument.
I think it’s 2017….
Great piece of art, it really seems to fit in its surroundings.
It’s great isn’t it – but wouldn’t have the same impact without the two sitting up on top!
