I would love to sit there!
It was a lovely peaceful place – en route between the craziness of Nashville and summer crowds in the Smokey Mountains…
Just the right spot!
You found a nice spot!
Unfortunately we hadn’t left ourselves a lot of time to enjoy it all but yes – it’s lovely isn’t it…
I think I’ve mentioned before I’ve been to Knoxville
My aunt lived there, she was a GI bride
We were just there the one night – I can’t remember what the plan was re breaking the journey in that particular town but we’d a lovely evening. There was an outdoor theatre performance in the square – everyone had brought their own chairs – and then we went to a Mexican restaurant where we had the best guacamole we’d ever tasted! I’d say it was a nice place to reside? Did she like it there?
Yes she loved it
They lived in a house in the middle of nowhere though so was a big shock to me when I visited!
A shock indeed for a city girl! Although did you live in the English countryside for a while?
No I was born in London, East End same as my aunt and my dad who came from a family of 11! So I’m sure she appreciated the space
I bet!!!!😅
Find me a less crowded place in the Smokies and I’m in. That seems to be my road trip dilemma there?
We were there in AUGUST! (2019)… height of the season! And unfortunately we were really only going to visit the highlights – which is where the crowds were. But, as I recall, we actually managed to get parking everywhere and only got stuck in traffic maybe twice so it wasn’t too bad….
What a wonderful place to watch the river flow by.
It is isn’t it – they’ve a nice job done on the place….
