Thes eare great – I love the Route 66 shot and I’m always happy to see (and ride in) a funicular 😀
I think I like the Hamburg one best myself – those lovely straight lines and the colour.. and then Route 66!!
All vastly different ways to travel.
They are actually now you mention it…
Great rail photos for this week. Such a delight 😀
Thanks Cee – I’d no ski lifts or even runways so stuck with rail…
An inspired collection of pictures. One could almost think you go around with photo challenges in your head, you are so good at coming up with just the right images!
Ha!!! Thank you Mari!! I find the search button in my google photos to be VERY useful!!
This is an amazing rails 🚈
Ah thank you – the Route 66 was 2007 but the rest are relatively recent…
One day I’m going to ride up (and down) a hill in a funicular. They look so…fun.
Put it on the list!!!
It’s definitely on the list, Marie.

These are such fantastic rail photos, Marie – you truly exceed at whatever photo challenge comes along. For photographers, the appeal of photographing railroads is forever intoxicating. Locomotives, commuter trains, subways, and railway landscapes come together to create visual poetry that blends nature and man-made landscapes, as well as the human love for complex machinery. Thanks for sharing and have a good day 🙂 Aiva xx
Thank you Aiva – I’m ashamed to say I didn’t include anything local – not even the DART from the Bray – Graystones walk which is so spectacular…
