Early afternoon tells a different story!
Definitely go in the morning!! It’s a huge complex isn’t it?
It is – but very ‘doable’ in a day….
What a huge place. You would need a few days there I imagine.
Not really Mari – its quite spread out and there’s a bit of climbing but you’d comfortably see it in a day …
I see what you mean! We’re planning on a visit next February – note to self, get there early 😆
Ah!!!!!! Lucky you! We got the public bus from the city…. We lunched at La Gruta just outside the back gate – touristy I know but still enjoyed ….
Without a doubt, the Teotihuacan pyramids are some of the most incredible attractions you can experience in Mexico. Getting there early would also mean you get to beat the midday heat, too – it can make the exploration a bit harder xx
We were there around New Year which meant a lot of extra tourists in the city but we wandered freely all morning with no queues anywhere. We were actually leaving the site when we saw that queue snaking around the pyramid – couldn’t believe it….
This is a popular destination, and so interesting! Great photos, Marie.
It certainly is – but it’s so accessible from Mexico city that I’m sure no one leaves the city without visiting…
What an incredible and interesting ancient site to visit. Your photos are fab Marie xx
It’s a fabulous place – we really loved it…..
