CWWC: WITH WHITE OR SNOW

I’ve no really nice snowy scenes from home so here’s two from Boston (Jan, 2018)

Pathway along by Charles River – I know it was cold – very cold – but we couldn’t believe how few people were out and about on such a beautiful bright morning…

A huge dump of snow the following day – we ventured out for a few minutes. It was very exciting really – until flights were cancelled and we were stranded!!

A few white walkways from Puglia (June, 2018)

And finally – ONE WAY ONLY PLEASE! – Seasonal rink in Mexico City (Jan, 2020)

  1. The amount of snow in that Boston shot is impressive, but not being a fan of the stuff I’d rather explore that intriguing staircase in your first Puglia shot!

    1. It was lovely to watch for a while and we had to venture out to see but only went a few metres before turning back – I always love the thought of it rather than the reality! I’d opt for Puglia in summer also!!!

  2. I was also once in the Boston area in Feb 2020 and it was 🥶. Same situation in Feb 2010 in Philadelphia area (and that was even with a snow storm!). Just thinking about that is giving me shivers 😂. But that shot beside the Charles River and blue sky is lovely 😀.

    1. We’ve visited the eastern United States around New Year on several occasions over the years – mostly NYC but once to Washington and once in Boston – we’ve had the odd inconvenience with snow but overall we’ve been lucky – except on this occasion!

  3. Way back in life was in Boston once… snow you can take it enough of living in those areas with snow to my knees! Nice pictures from afar thus!

    1. Thanks Cee! I thought I’d have more snow but had very little to offer – I was thinking then of white path surfaces but I see lots of clever people used white buildings and railing along the way – never thought of that!!

  4. We might get snow this weekend, it would be the first time in over 700 days I believe that NYC would have measurable snow. Better start doing my snow dance so I can get some pretty pictures of Central Park.

  5. Winters can be harsh, unpredictable and unforgiving. Nonetheless, most of us stop to marvel at the quiet beauty of a snow-covered forest, and the first snowfall sprinkled on the porches is still a magical sight.

    1. Welllll….dare I admit — that as a teacher I Loved a good snowfall because the school might close for a day or two!!! (Or 10 days on one occasion!!) Of course that was in the good ole days before they spoiled everything with zoom and online lessons!!

  6. We lived, before we found this house, in Charles River Park because that was where Garry lived — walking distance to Channel 7. He used to run that route before he went to work in the morning. That was the best part of living in Boston!
