This pathway joins two coastal towns very close to me here in South County Dublin. The 7km trail between Bray and Greystones (both actually in Co. Wicklow) is hugely popular with locals and visitors alike and is easily accessed by public transport from the city centre…
The path heads off up around that headland ……..

…leaving the town behind and following the coast….

…before descending through the fields into Greystones….

Yes that’s a pleasant little run over the hill to Greystones, then the DART back into town. Many years ago as a child on holiday in Greystones from England, I tragically dropped an ice-cream on the beach. The next morning I demanded we return to the beach to find it.
Oh dear – I hope that’s not your only memory of that holiday, Roy!
Sadly it is, though I can’t have been older than 5 🙂
Well – here’s hoping you’ve gotten over it by now Roy!!
Hi Marie, these are all wonderful dirt ways for us to enjoy this week 😀 😀
Thanks Cee – as soon as I saw ‘dirt track’ I knew what I’d use!!!
Ooh, what a lovely walk! Just what I needed to brighten a miserable February day 🙂
It is – and there are the most lovely coffee shops at the end!!!
It’s a path that I’ve walked several times, and it’s a shame that greed has turned the old port of Greystones into new developments of no interest whatsoever.
Massive changes there in recent years – although at least the main street has maintained some of its character
Looks beautiful!
It’s a lovely amenity – a perfect half day outing with coffee at either end…
Lovely selection Marie! xx
Thanks Hannah – it’s one of my regulars – rolled out for several themes at this stage!!
The Cliff Walk between Bray and Greystones was one of my favourite walks when I lived in Dublin, Marie.
I remember you saying that – they’ve been doing a bit of work on it – don’t know what they’re at – but hopefully it doesn’t lose any of its charm in the process (although they could certainly do something about the impassible puddles!)
Looks gorgeous!
Nothing like it on a good day….
I bet 🙂
Was actually out in Bray this afternoon – sun shining and lot of people enjoying the walk…
