Two favourites from home…
I love the way the STOP sign has been incorporated into this mural in Waterford City…

This is the Healy Pass in Ireland’s south west…..

It makes for a fabulous drive as you can imagine but it’s hugely popular with cyclists who must welcome the first sign but not the second!!!!!

I have always loved to drive the serpentine-like road of Healy Pass. It’s one of Ireland’s greatest drives with beautiful views over Bantry Bay and the Kenmare River.
So remote – and so beautiful….
Ah that Irish humour!
You’d need it if you cycled up there!!!
These are both super, in very different ways!
VERY different! I love the city sign but given the choice I’d head to the Healy…
I often think that when I finally reach the top of the pass 🙂 Maggie
On your bike I hope!!!!!
Yes😊
The trained more sign made me laugh 🤭
Imagine puffing up the Pass, lagging behind everyone and then seeing that!!!😂🤣
Love the signs on the road 👍😂
Impossible not to smile!!!
Oh I so adore your signs and photos for this week 😀 😀
Thanks Cee… I’ve probably used both a few times but sure that’s what favourites are for!!
Maybe you should have trained more … I laughed and laughed ..not funny though for the cyclist lol
I was thinking that it must be great to stop for the photo – but then the cyclists are probably racing (or puffing) past and can’t afford the time!
The Waterford Walls, excellent, they really light up a somewhat drab city. As to The Healy Pass I’d love to run up it as a challenge. Is there a little cafe at the top maybe?
What a fabulous run…. There’s not much up there Roy – although it was Covid when we were last there so everything closed anyway. There was some sort of structure near the top – might be a small shop. There’s definitely a grotto there – so you can say a few prayers!!!
