  1. What great lists you have compiled for each major area. I’m totally impressed by how many you have been able to check off. Here is one right here in the U.S. that you might consider adding to your list.

Since I saw that you rode in a hot air balloon over the Serengeti, I would suggest considering a visit here to Albuquerque. I crew for a hot air balloon and I am also a docent at our International Balloon Museum. During the first two weeks in October, we host what is known as Balloon Fiesta. It is the largest gathering of lighter than air balloons in the world (both hot air and gas). Although we had 1000 balloons register in the year 2000, we have now capped registrations at around 650. Still, there is nothing quite like seeing hundreds of hot air balloons in the air all at one time. We get balloons from all over the world and this past year we had over 100 special shapes as well. If you would like to see some pictures of Balloon Fiesta, you are welcome to visit my blog. Not sure if you can click the link from here, but here is the post ….

Thanks again for following my blog. I don’t see Scotland on your list. We just visited there for 3 weeks and had one of our best vacations ever. I have numerous other posts about that trip in addition to the Harry Potter one that you just saw. if you are a fan of Outlander, you might like my post on the Scottish connections to that as well.

    1. Never met anyone who crewed a balloon – that’s so different!!! We were in Albuquerque a number of years ago – but in August. The Fiesta sounds great – and the photos on your site are amazing!

We’ve had a few short trips to Scotland over the years – Edinburgh of course and driving in the highlands… we always intended returning and spending more time in the highlands and maybe a few islands.

You’ve prompted me to go back annd have a look at that list!! haven’t updated it in ages!!
