Sculpture Saturday

Thank you Sheree from viewfromtheback  for directing me towards this weekly challenge from  Mind over Memory .    I’ve decided to give it a go…

I’m starting with this piece from a trip to Bratislava in January 2019.   It caught my eye in the middle of a snow blizzard!

I only discovered later that it’s actually a fountain –  Fountain Joy of Life, 1983 by Tibor  Bartfay.

If you’d also like to take part:-

  • Share a photo of a sculpture
  • Link to the  Mind over Memory  post for Saturday Sculpture

  1. Glad to see you are participating in these challenges, they are so much fun! And I can’t believe you visited Bratislava in the middle of the winter, must have been amazing to see snow! I always long for it. Thanks for sharing and have a good day 😀 Aiva

    1. Hi Aiva – this is the first challenge for me. I’m not a photographer so reluctant to submit photos for such posts but decided to give it a go. Yes – Bratislava in winter!! We went to Vienna for new year and then on to Bratislava for a few days. It just snowed on the last day. Apparently it got very bad after we left so we were lucky to get home when we did.

  2. You want sculptures … come to Amesbury, We have 9 … including 6 made by QinetiQ engineering apprentices at nearby Boscombe Down.
