Thanks to pals Aiva from OURCROSSINGS, Allan from PhotoBlography3 and Christie from 1000 Places and Memories for the nomination.
The Travel Challenge involves posting one favourite travel picture for each day – That’s 10 days, 10 travel pictures, 10 nominations, and 0 explanations!
I do have favourite photos but I’ve probably used them , at least once if not more, in previous blogs so they might look a bit familiar!! Despite the chaos of our times, there’s still a bit of a build up to Christmas so I hope I make it to day 10 without distraction!!!
Today I nominate John from JKRoaming for the challenge. Please link to me if you decide to participate. If you are not interested or do not have time to participate, don’t worry about it.

Nice view, I haven’t seen Milan from this angle.
Well done – its the Cathedral roof…..
What a stunning structure!
Its incredible – you could spend a full day up there!
That looks like a great tour Marie. Good vantage point. Allan
Thanks Allan – we were really impressed by the whole city. XXXM
I didn’t guess it although I’d been there, but in my defence I can say that I didn’t make my way to the very top. Looks a great place to view the square below. I’ll try and make it to the top next time but I’m beginning to wonder now if there will ever be a next time!
Ah there will!!!
We were pleasantly surprised by Milan although we’d read always that it was a lovely city. My preconceived idea was that of an industrial city but it has lots to offer. If you ever get back then go to the roof…. Its great up there…. XXXM
We did the roof top of Ely Cathedral and it’s amazing. Never been to Milan or Italy at all so for sure didn’t recognize this structure.
I’d say Ely is amazing…. I’ve never been to that part of England.
One of my cousin’s was the stone mason on Ely Cathedral for many years and did a lot of repair work. The Diocese allowed him to put his bust wherever he would like and he chose up on the parapet. It’s a testament to his 14 years working to restore the cathedral.
That’s a wonderful story….. there’s a blog post in that!!!!
That’s pretty much the entire story right there except for how windy it was and how my fear of heights made me a bit panicky! The kids and my husband loved it.
I’ve no head for heights either but I was fine on top of Milan cathedral. Different climate zone though!!!! 💨💨☀️☀️
I still remember the first time I was standing on the rooftop of Milano Cathedral 🙂
Its fantastic isn’t it …. worth visiting Milan for that alone…..
