A PHOTO CHALLENGE OF PLACES WE SIT…OR MIGHT SIT…OR ART ABOUT SITTING
This is the promenade at Bray, Co. Wicklow (Ireland) – about 4km from my home. Its a lovely place to sit with a coffee and look out over the Irish Sea.

XingfuMama posts every Friday morning.
*Create a post with a photo of places one sits or might sit, or art about sitting, and maybe a little background or story about the spot or a picture of the view.
*Add a tag “Pull up a seat’.
*Add a link to your post in the comment section, either by writing a comment with your URL or by creating a pingback.
Looks so gorgeous.
It was a particularly nice evening – and midweek so quiet… XXXXMarie
That must be the mother of all park benches!
That’s just part of it … the promenade is a mile in length and the seating stretches for a good section of it…. I go past it so often I don’t see it any more – then, the other evening – I saw the stretch with no one on it and I thought – Ah…. Friday Seat Challenge!
Surely this must be in the Guinness Book of Records? You did well to capture this on a day when few people were occupying it.
I certainly looks better without untidy bodies ruining the vista😅 😂
Bray is a beautiful town all year round and has loads to offer, and I very much love seeing my old hunting grounds through your wonderful photos, Marie 🙂 xx
I’ll soon have exhausted every part of the region Aiva!! Hope you enjoying the sunshine… enjoy the rest of the weekend…
+28’C in Sligo, can’t complain 🙂

What a long bench. I love the beautiful back. I was only at Bray once, about 27 years ago. Your photos make me want to return and just sit. On our one visit my son was five and my grandparents were with us. Keeping track of that crew I didn’t notice many details.
They did a job on the seafront a number of years back so its a lovely promenade now… jammed these evenings thanks to a spell of good weather….
