Waterholes are wonderful things, both for the animals who come to drink and all of us who are lucky enough to be able to watch them there! I love your second photo in particular – it would have been great for my ‘framing the subject’ challenge a few weeks ago 😀
Never thought of that!! Must bank the idea for another challenge!!!
Now, you see – there’s the difference between an artistic mind (yours) and a philistine mind (mine). There’s no way the word “drink” would make me think of wildlife!!
Ha!! I was all set to fly the Irish flag and put in a pint of Guinness when I thought of it!!!
Lovely selection!
Cheers!!!
The pictures remind me how scarce water can be in Africa and the fierce competition that takes place along water holes by so many species to use it.
…. and how much we take it for granted! I’m just back from Cyprus – in the middle of last week, the hotel we were staying in at the time had no water for an hour in the morning – talk about meltdown!! The abuse the staff had to endure was something else!
