This week’s theme from Debbie for One Word Sunday is FACE
This is locally known as the Janus Statue (after the 2 faced Roman deity) because it has two faces but is thought to be a Celtic God. There is little known about its date or purpose. It is located in Caldragh graveyard, County Fermanagh, Northern Ireland.

Interesting sculpture!
Certainly unusual for a Celtic statue… I wonder if the sculptor was considered a madman or a genius!!!😅 😂 🤣
Kind of creepy faces. But they do make a terrific photo op. 😀
Ha!!! I think he’s kinda cute!!!
I like it.

Thank you Janet! Me too – we’re actually heading up that part of the country next weekend so must have another look at it – it was a miserable day when we were there last..
I quite like it, it has a look of gentle mischief!
Ha! Maybe…. well he certainly doesn’t look malevolent anyway….
This caught my attention..great sculpture. Anita
Ah thank you Anita – I love coming across things like this…..
Interesting but it was the sheep that caught my eye!
I LOVE the sheep!!!! Isn’t it wonderful that these national treasures aren’t locked away!
