This week’s theme from Debbie for One Word Sunday is SKYLINE
Dublin’s skyline…..

Customs House

The Guinness name is synonymous with Dublin

The Ha’penny Bridge

Georgian era chimneys

Grand Canal Dock

The Samuel Beckett Bridge was inspired by the harp – Ireland’s national symbol. The conference hall beside it meanwhile has been likened to a pint of Guinness (another national symbol!)

Bolands Flour Mills were famously occupied by rebel forces during the 1916 Rising. The landmark was bought by Google in 2018.

Lansdowne Road Rugby Stadium
Out on Dublin Bay…..

…..the skyline is dominated by the Poolbeg Chimneys…..

….you’re never far from a Martello Tower – The British built circa 29 of them in the Dublin area in the early 1800’s in fear of a Napoleonic invasion…..

…and of course there’s always some activity in the bay to interrupt the skyline!

Beautiful skylines. 😊
I really, really need to go in to town some day the sun is actually shining!!!!😅 😂
Absolutely love Dublin. Every time I’ve been, either work or leisure, I’ve loved the feel of the city. Incredibly, Michaela has never been. We intend to put that right this year.
She’s too busy, Phil, heading off to more exotic places!!!😅 😂
I suppose that’s true Marie but I still think she needs to witness the Dublin craic…!

Beautiful skylines, and a wonderful look at Dublin!
And honestly – I promise – the sun DOES actually shine here 😅 😂
