These are lovely we visited Cape May last year and really enjoyed its architecture
We’d only a few hours and had to eat so left very little time for a proper look – every house was nicer than the one before!
We were fortunate to spend several days https://viewfromtheback.com/2022/08/10/postcard-from-the-shore-part-i/
This is great Sheree – and Tom is just going to love it – he’s particularly keen on going back for a more leisurely stay in the area.
Excellent
😘
A lovely gallery of the Painted Ladies 🙂 We spent a great week here some years ago!
We were brought to breakfast in Cape May one Sunday morning in summer 1983!! No real memory of it. And this was also a flying visit but we were just saying we wouldn’t mind revisiting and taking a few days. And a lovely time to visit – early Sept so still warm….
I love these houses, the doors. the gates and the porches and i really appreciate the close-up shots of the details.
The details = – and colours – are particularly attractive. There was such variation as well…
Very beautiful.
Thank you. XXXMarie
These speak of quieter times. Lovely. (K)
Don’t they just – imagine how fine and elegant the town was before the tourist boom…
Beautiful doors on beautiful homes, Marie. I can just imagine sitting on one of those porches, sipping lemonade, and watching the summer go by.
I’d fancy that all right! Although maybe they all just sit on their porches and complain about all the visitors gaping in at them!!😅 😂 🤣
LOL
