Meteora is fabulous….but, as this photo shows, it’s one of those places where standing half a mile away is better than actually being inside. If you know what I mean.
Absolutely. It was nice to visit the monasteries themselves but its the approach to them that is really special…
I’ve always wanted to visit Meteora, it looks amazing!
We were lucky enough to spend 2 nights in the area during the summer so got to all 6 monasteries… a LOT of steps but worth it!
You certainly don’t want to be wandering around outside at night! Excellent photo and choice.
