Never take a short cut!!!

This is my last photo – August 25th. We were heading to the west of Ireland on Friday evening and under a bit of pressure timewise so opted for the back roads – really, really a bad idea at milking time!!
The rules for Brian’s Last on the Card prompt are……..
1. Post the last photo on your SD card or last photo on your phone for the end of the month.
2. No editing – who cares if it is out of focus, not framed as you would like or the subject matter didn’t cooperate.
3. You don’t have to have any explanations, just the photo will do
4. Create a Pingback to this post or link in the comments
5. Tag “The Last Photo”
I came across a scene like that on a rural road in Yorkshire. It was sheep though being led by a farmer on a 4 wheeler and his border collies.
It always looks so idyllic but it’s a real pain when one is in a hurry!!😅 😂
What beautiful looking dairy cattle. Well cared for, obviously. Dairy farmer’s daughter. Worth being late for!
I suppose so – but we didn’t appreciate it at the time!!!😅 😂
Oh dear – proof that shortest isn’t always fastest!

I’ve lost count of how many times we came across a view and a situation like this exploring Ireland’s West Coast this summer! It’s all part of the journey xx
It certainly is Aiva – and it’s what we love about it isn’t it… Hope you’d a great summer – I’m afraid to ask what class Ericeira is going into – I still think she’s a toddler!!!
She started first class, Marie and is very excited about being back. Let’s hope things doesn’t change next week when homework begins 🤣🤣 take care. I hope you are feeling much better 💕
That’s a big change with the extra hour – of course they think they’re all grown up when they hit 1st! I’m doing very well thanks – managed a brief trip to the US last weekend so no one has sympathy for me any more!!!
I’m glad to hear that 😊 take care xx
How great this last card shot is! The cows certainly do not care that you were in a hurry.
Aren’t they right!!! Not their problem!! The farmer didn’t care either!!
Just part of the new trend for ‘slow travel’. It reminded me of the time we were driving in the Cotswold hills and our way was halted by a road full of adorable little lambs with just a few ewes among them, backed by hills and dales. I jumped out to take a picture, but then from behind a tree jumped the farmer/owner who demanded cash for photos. And this was in the 1970’s!
I can’t believe that happening in the 70’s!! So did you pay him?????
I love dairy cows. Timing is everything. I hope it wasn’t a huge herd 😮 Thanks for joining in Marie 🙂 🙂
It was big enough Brian – we were sitting there wondering how much each one cost and how far we could travel if we’d sell one or two of them!!
