You’ll find Little Kook Cafe tucked away in a side street in Athens. Open since just 2015, the extraordinary decor reflects not only the recurrent seasonal themes of Christmas, Valentine’s Day, Halloween, etc., but also draws inspiration from fairytales like Peter Pan, Cinderella, Mary Poppins….. In summer 2022, we were immersed in Alice’s Wonderland!
Needless to say, this is now one of the most photographed places in the city – move over, Acropolis!!!

Wow, that’s certainly a bit over the top, but I love it! And do I even spot a waitress dressed as ALice?
Yep – there was also a Mad Hatter as I recall and probably Tweedledum and Tweedledee!!
What a find. Could be the No. 1 spot, at least until the Elgin marbles are returned!
Place was absolutely jammed – mostly with gawkers like ourselves…. all the tables were full but I’m not sure how enjoyable it would be for those sitting right on the street – people were actually taking taking photos of diners’ cakes etc as they were walking past!
It really is OTT but I totally love it 🙂
I could have spent ages there – just drinking in the detail – we only came across it by chance and discovered later that the theme changes so perfect for return visitors…
Looks like it’s not just a café; it’s an experience. I am in awe of its extraordinary ambience and enchanting decorations.
LOTS of mothers and daughter pairings sitting there enjoying coffee and cake….. Ericeira would love it!!!
Wow! What a place to visit!
Great isn’t it – I cant imagine one being able to just walk in without a reservation but certainly worth the experience I’m sure for anyone visiting the city..
looks a bit over the top for me but I can see why people go to see it. Certainly colourful.
It’s way over the top for everyone – but that’s the attraction of course – It has to be seen to be believed!
Wow!!!
That’s what we said when we came across it!!!
oh my goodness! that is certainly a very maximal vibe! it looks such fun! I love all things Alice so this is superb! Is the food themed as well?
I think they just serve beverages and desserts – crepes/ cakes etc. I’d be very surprised if some of the menu didn’t reflect the current theme – so easy to do with cakes (says she – the non baker!!)
I agree totally – baked good & desserts are so much easier to theme. And you know, it is the Tea Party!
