For Debbie’s ONE WORD SUNDAY
I miss my old hiking grounds! When our eldest one was just a baby, we went on gentle lakeside strolls, and later, when she was much older, we finally embarked on more challenging hikes. Hiking the whole length ofthe Wicklow Way is still on my to-do list. Thanks for sharing, and have a good day 🙂 Aiva xx
We do the lakeside walk regularly enough – especially during the summer but I’m ashamed to say we haven’t been up on that ridge since the photo was taken – covid times…. You’re far more adventurous than I am Aiva! I’ve never even considered doing the whole thing and we live so close!
I walked there a couple of times, both ways, great place.
It is – that was actually taken during covid – we’d most of it done when we finally copped on that they were operating a one way system and we’d gone the wrong way – all of it!
Looks like a wonderful hike.
It’s the most beautiful place – above a valley that is steeped in history – hugely popular at weekends….
Looks a great place for a hike
It’s hugely popular in summer – just the right length and it’s a loop so convenient for parking etc. But even when it’s busy, you feel as though you’re in the middle of nowhere (which is actually the case!)
I dare say that looks familiar!
Ha!!! Yes – except there’s usually NO boardwalk so we just squelch through the bog🤣🤣
