There’s just a thin layer of water over the salt which creates the mirror effect. However, we were supplied with wellies at that stage of the day so we could enjoy it in comfort!!!
YES!!!! It’s way up there on our list also. We absolutely loved it – it was definitely the highlight of that particular holiday which is saying something, considering it included Machu Picchu, Nazca Lines, etc!

We were watching the sunset and when we turned around, the table was being set with drinks and nibbles – absolutely fab!
